You’re Not Stuck—You’re Just Running on Old Code

These are embedded blueprints—and many of them aren’t even yours.

You may have picked them up from your parents.

From your teachers.

From your community.

From the culture you moved through when you were too young to question it.

Your subconscious is always listening.

And here’s the thing:

It doesn’t care if what you tell it is true or false, right or wrong.

Much like a young child, it absorbs what it hears and makes meaning out of it—quickly, emotionally, and without nuance.

It operates in binaries: safe or unsafe, worthy or unworthy, accepted or rejected.

Dr. Gabor Maté has said that most people are operating from the emotional state of their 3- or 4-year-old self.

Mel Robbins, in her book The Let Them Theory, believes most people are reacting like 8-year-olds.

Really stop and think about that for a moment.

How much of what we call “adult behavior” is actually our inner child trying to feel safe?

This is why willpower isn’t enough.

This is why mindset work only gets you halfway.

This is why you don’t need more motivation—you need a new blueprint.

And here’s where the shift begins:

— Create environments that reflect who you’re becoming

— Take small, repeated actions that make safety familiar

— Rewire the story. Your mind learns through repetition.

One final but important thought: Without aligned action and nervous system support, the pattern will keep looping no matter how much knowledge you have about your patterns.
